STREAM CHALLENGE – This Sunday at 9am CST

I wanted to tell you guys (the world) or whoever visits my website (no one) that I am going to attempt and break into the world of streaming… as a job. Am I crazy or what!? Yeah, no really, I’m completely serious. I’ve been watching many streams in-between study sessions and rehearsals,  and now that I’m done my second year of university, I want to stream… games. Over the last few weeks I’ve been doing research and setting up the proper tools and equipment to do it viably, and I’m just about there.

I know it won’t be easy, and it is somewhat of a long-shot. But hey, I’ve got the will and the equipment to do it, so why not give it a go? This Sunday, April 20, 2014, marks the the first day of my one week trial stream challenge. What’s a stream challenge? It’s when a streamer streams every single day for a long-ass time for a set number of days, without a break. One week is on the short end of the scale, as many streams tend to go for three months or longer. That’s why I threw “trial” in front of it. Essentially, if this first week of streaming works out to some extent in that I get a small following, I will extend it by another week… and so on.

So, starting this Sunday, April 20, 2014, at 9:00am CST, I will be streaming video games for literally 9 hours straight. 9 HOURS! Every single day, for 7 days straight. So tune in at http://twitch.tv/yayze and follow me, chat with me, and if you like what you see, toss a buck or two my way. It goes a long way in supporting me and you will win my eternal love. <3

There will also be giveaways! That’s right! I’m calling them “giftaways” because, well, I’m just so clever, and they are open to all viewers, but you must be watching in order to get a chance to win.

You can watch the stream here on my site, or hit that link:  http://twitch.tv/yayze

My first week will be an Assassin’s Creed marathon. I will be playing from the beginning of Assassins Creed: Revelations all the way to the end of Assassin’s Creed 4. That’s three full games, unless the viewers decide they want to see something else. If week one is successful, I will put up a poll for week two and let the viewers decide what I play.

So come watch and keep me company! What have you got to lose?

For those wondering, here’s a more in-depth look at my schedule for the currently planned stream challenge:

CDC 31 – We Be Retro

What better way to end the weekend than to look back on some of the best NES/SNES music and just talk about everything retro in the TV and gaming world. Remember Reboot? We’ve got you covered.

Fight Night Infinity featuring UMVC3 was this past Saturday with some interesting gameplay shown from some of our top players in the scene.

With gaming news less than spectacular thus far, we are wondering when game companies will stop pushing so much crap out. Here’s looking at you, Capcom! We hope you get better soon, Ono… at making games.

Speaking of retro, what Reboot character would you be? We already have Mike the TV and Phong set. Leave a comment below and we will give a shout out on the next podcast.

Big things are coming for our next big tournament being held and hosted by All Your Base Online at BaseLAN 23 (www.allyourbaseonline.com)

Also, if you made top 8 in any of the 5 tournament at March 2 Battle, expect to hear from us for an invite to one of the upcoming FNIs (Fight Night Infinity).

Check out the recording from our live stream of the podcast, head on over to: http://live.chipdamage.com
