Baselan 23 is this weekend, and it’s going to be the biggest yet, with tons of great games and prizes over 3 days of nonstop, action packed, body odor filled, computer fan humming goodness!

Of course, you can count Chip Damage to be there running your favorite fighting game tournaments such as, Street Fighter X Tekken, Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition, and Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3. March 2 Battle was this past weekend and we give our personal opinions and let you know how it all went down.

We also give our first impressions on the newly released Street Fighter X Tekken.

March 2 Battle(M2B) is generally Chip Damage’s first tournament of the year. It’s our first big one where multiple games take to the floor as Manitoba’s top fighters battle it out in competitive fighting games. This time we’re setting the stage for the rest of the year with new games for 2012. Games such as King of Fighters XIII and Street Fighter x Tekken have the chance to take the spotlight at M2B this time.

The Games

March 2 Battle 2012 will feature five heavy-hitting fighting game tournaments over the course of one day. March 10 will be a busy day, no doubt!

This year, we’ve decided to shake things up a bit by putting the choice of games in your hands. While we will have five games at M2B, there are seven games to choose from at pre-registration(now closed). Based on you, the community, and which games prove to be the most popular among you, will determine which of the game events will happen at M2B.

The gaming world is slowly coming alive in 2012 with the release of SSX, SFxT, and Mass Effect 3 looming around the corner. Not to mention one of Chip Damage’s biggest tournaments of the year happening next Saturday, March 10!

We talk about how snowboarding is cool in video games when done right, and whether not Street Fighter X Tekken will be worthwhile.
